First State Bank Supports Affordable Housing with $50,000
Donation to Macomb County Habitat for Humanity.
St. Clair Shores, MI—First State Bank is excited to announce a transformative $50,000 donation to Macomb County Habitat for Humanity, reaffirming its commitment to community development and affordable housing solutions in Macomb County. The funds will be presented at the "Restore U" women-focused luncheon on April 3, 2025, hosted at Zuccaro's Banquet and Catering.
This generous contribution will bolster Habitat for Humanity's down payment assistance program, a lifeline for families striving to achieve homeownership amid today’s challenging economic conditions. Over the years, Macomb Habitat for Humanity has built 164 homes, positively impacting more than 13 communities and over 350 children and 200 adults.

The luncheon will bring together community leaders and feature inspiring stories of impact, emphasizing themes of renewal and support. It also celebrates First State Bank’s longstanding collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, including annual sponsorship support and a 2024 commitment to completing the renovation of a Habitat home in Eastpointe.
In addition to this donation, First State Bank is committed to expanding access to affordable housing through its own “Open Door Grant” program. This initiative provides one-time grants to assist with down payments and closing costs for First State Bank mortgage loans.
